STEP BY STEP ON HOW TO REGISTER TO STUDY IN CANADA

Step by step for the registration procedure:

Fill out the Northwest Homestay registration form:
We will send you a registration form from the language institute college or university to complete your registration. You will also have to pay the amount that the institution requires for registration and administrative expenses. This amount is non-refundable.

YOU WILL RECEIVE THE ACCEPTANCE LETTER:
The language institute college or university will send you an acceptance letter with the description of the program you chose start date and duration. We send this letter to your address and it is very important since you will need it to complete the procedures for the temporary resident visa and study permit.

GET THE VISA:
You have to complete the procedures to obtain the visa at the consulate or embassy of your country with all the required documentation. We have an alliance with qualified immigration consultants who will help you with your procedures.

TUITION PAYMENT:
Once your visa has been approved you make the payment via bank transfer of the tuition insurance and other expenses to the account of the language institute college or university where you will study. If you are from Venezuela you will have to complete the CADIVI procedures to make the payment of the registration. We will advise you in this process.

CULMINATION OF YOUR REGISTRATION:
Each language institute college or university has its own peculiarities regarding the registration process.

CANCELATION CONDITIONS
“Cancellation” refers to the period prior to the commencement of the course or accommodation.For all courses and accommodation For cancellations made more than 15 days in advance of the start date 100% of the teaching and accommodation will be refunded minus the courier costs Value for accommodation search (if any) the Registration and other optional contracted services are not refundable. For cancellations made less than 15 days prior to the start date Northwest reserves the right to return the money already delivered. All returns will be made within 30 days of notification.

CLASSES TERMINATION
ENGLISH CLASSES TERMINATION CONDITIONS
“Termination” means to abandon the course once it has started. When calculating the number of weeks completed by the student an incomplete week will be counted as a whole week provided the student was present for at least one day during that week. For all terminations it is necessary to inform the school principal in writing.

▪ If the student is expelled or leaves the program up to 10% of its duration 50% of the total of the course will be returned
▪ If the student is expelled or leaves the program after 10% and before 30% of the duration of their course 30% of the total of their course will be returned
▪ If the student is expelled or leaves the program after 30% of their course there will be no refund

RULES AND REGULATIONS IN CANADA
School rules Students must follow the rules and regulations of the school they attend.

Civil Liability:
The Northwest study and accommodation agency is not responsible for damages injuries and illnesses to people or property regardless of where they occur unless it is legally imposed.

Deposit Accommodation in apartments or student residences:
Upon arrival a deposit will be requested from students staying in apartments. This will be refunded at the end if everything is delivered correctly

Condition and Termination of accommodation with Canadian families (homestay)
Students must notify their homestay termination in writing at least 2 weeks in advance.

Furnished apartments
By agreeing to rent the furnished apartment the student must pay a deposit that is half of the rent. This money is in case of causing any damage to the apartment during the stay in it. When the student decides to leave the apartment it is obligatory to notify one month in advance.
